Lately we have been seeing dogs that are being imported to N.B. with rescue groups, carrying heartworm. In the past, we have seen little, to no heartworm in our area, and that which has been detected, typically is from an animal that has traveled. This is a concern to us because this causes risks to our dogs that we didn’t need to worry about before. It is very important to start thinking about regular heartworm prevention here now. Please call the clinic to learn more about heartworm and how it can be prevented.
